Whether you want to play your favorite songs and jam with your friends or get to the next level, there are several ways we can approach our lessons.

During our first phone or email exchange, we will go over your goals and musical background. Some students want to improve certain technical aspects of their playing or explore a specific guitar style, while others want to deepen their knowledge of musical theory, improvisation and/or songwriting.

I suggest you look at the STYLE section for an in-depth overview of different guitar styles.

Obviously, there is no rule about what path to follow. You might want to approach different aspects at the same time, like learning jazz theory while playing rock, or practicing fingerpicking while studying classical repertoire, or learning rock songs and solos while practicing your own songwriting. The possibilities are endless.
